Compassionate, Person-Centred Dementia & Medical Care Services

Understanding dementia care

Dementia can change the life of the person living with it and the lives of everyone who cares for them.

At Nightingales Medical Trust (NMT), we believe dementia care is much more than managing symptoms. It is about preserving dignity, promoting independence, maintaining quality of life and supporting the entire family.

Since 2006, NMT has been pioneering professional and compassionate dementia-care services. With nearly three decades of experience, we have developed a comprehensive continuum of dementia care — from dementia risk reduction and early assessment to day care, residential care, caregiver training and family support.

Our approach combines professional medical care with cognitive stimulation, meaningful activities, rehabilitation, psychosocial support and other non-pharmacological approaches, within safe and dementia-friendly environments.

Dementia Family Support Groups

You Need Support Too.

Dementia can be isolating not only for the person living with the condition, but also for the family caregiver.

NMT's support groups provide families with an opportunity to:

  • Share experiences with others going through similar situations
  • Learn from dementia-care professionals
  • Discuss practical caregiving challenges
  • Understand behavioural and psychological changes
  • Learn coping strategies
  • Exchange useful resources and experiences
  • Find reassurance and emotional support

Sometimes, simply knowing that someone else understands can make a tremendous difference.

You are not alone. There is a community that understands.

Supporting the whole family

Dementia affects the entire family. We equip caregivers with knowledge, practical skills and emotional support so they can make informed decisions and provide better care.

When Should You Seek Help?

Early assessment can help families understand the condition and plan care better.

Consider seeking professional advice if your loved one is experiencing:

  • Increasing forgetfulness that affects everyday life
  • Repeatedly asking the same questions
  • Difficulty managing familiar tasks
  • Confusion about time or place
  • Changes in personality or behaviour
  • Difficulty communicating
  • Problems with mobility or daily activities
  • Increasing dependence on family members
  • Wandering or safety concerns
  • Sleep disturbances or behavioural changes

You Don't Have to Do This Alone

Dementia is a journey and every family's journey is different. Whether you are seeking an initial memory assessment, looking for daytime support, need help managing care at home, or are considering residential care, Nightingales Medical Trust can help you find the right level of support.

Safe. Respected. Engaged. Comfortable. Well Cared For.
