Computer Training

Program Manager: Mrs. Geetha Suresh

With globalisation and growing connectivity in the world, most jobs require a basic knowledge of computers and the internet, not just in the field of medicine, transport, banking, etc, but even everyday operations are automated. Simple railway enquiries and banking transactions can now be carried out from the comfort of our homes. To senior citizens, this new environment can be both a challenge and a comfort. Nightingales Medical Trust believes that with proper orientation and training, elders will quickly adapt to this changing scenario.

Community training in computers for the elderly was initiated to enable senior citizens to become economically secure. As most jobs today require the knowledge of computers, this programme helps elders find jobs and earn a decent income. This programme is supported by the National institute of Social Defense.

The course covers:

  • Fundamentals of Computers
  • Parts of a Computer
  • MS Office
  • Internet and Email

Interested candidates with accountancy background will be trained in “Tally” through DBOI CSR initiative.
