GERIATRIC CARE TRAINING
Geriatric Care addresses the complex needs of older people and emphasizes on maintaining functional independence. It requires an interdisciplinary approach in order to provide comprehensive care for older people with multiple needs. Older adults require a healthcare workforce with the expertise to meet their unique needs.
WHAT WE DO:
NMT’s course on basic geriatric care integrates healthcare and psychological care and provides assistance with activities of daily living. The main aim of the course is to provide training in managing basic medical conditions affecting the elderly. The course has equal amount of theory and practical sessions.
Another important aspect of the course includes training in management of people with chronic conditions and debilitating medical ailments. At the end of the course, candidates should be equipped to provide bed-side assistance to a growing number of ailing aged and also be capable of generating employment opportunities for themselves through this mode of service.
