The Outreach programmes of Nightingales Medical Trust aim to provide services to elderly who are not in a position to access them at the designated project offices due to distance, inconvenience or lack of awareness.
The elderly population is restricted to their homes and surroundings due to deteriorating health and confidence levels. Although they may want to avail age care services, the task of travelling from their homes and visiting the service providers becomes a difficult task in itself. Outreach services help to provide such services to the doorstep of the elderly and make the services more accessible.
Outreach programs aim at:
- Making services more accessible by providing such services at the doorstep of the elderly
- Addressing the elders' community living needs.
- Bringing older adults together with others in the community, to social and network with each other.
