Nightingales Medical Trust believes in transparency, accountability and integrity. The financial transactions and records are maintained by a team of qualified and competent professionals and are recorded using Tally ERP 9.0 software, keeping with the accounting policies and principles suggested by the ICAI guidelines for NGOs.
Accounts at all our projects are maintained systematically through predefined SOPs and monitored from the Accounts Department at the main office. This is further supplemented with regular periodical visits by Senior Managers.
The physical verification of assets is conducted during the visits by the Senior Managers.
The Financial Management is by way of:
- Consolidation of the Individual Project Accounts
- Periodic MIS reports to the Management
- Monthly review meetings
- Quarterly financial review by the Board of Trustees
On day-to-day basis the Co-founders of the Trust oversee the accounting transactions to ensure compliance and that the transactions are within the objectives and forecasts of the Trust.
The accounts of the Trust are audited by a qualified auditor appointed by the Board of Trustees.
Nightingales Medical Trust is registered under Section 12A of Income Tax Act and donations to the Trust are exempt under Section 80G of the Income Tax Act.
The Trust is registered and approved under Foreign Currency Regulation Act (FCRA) and is authorized to receive donations in Foreign Currency as per the provisions of the Act.
Donations to projects/ programmes of Nightingales Medical Trust made by Corporate Houses are considered as part of their Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) compliance, under Companies Act 2013.
